Apr 06 2017 6 07pm. Another company wired the 3rd brakelight on this cap. I install toppers truck accessories crap all day. Tapping into your trailer wiring or a tail light definitely isnt the right way to wire a 3rd brake light wire.

I found a connector that comes off of the rear harness but i am unsure what it is for. Wiring truck cap 3rd brake light. If you cant find that just ask. Those get wired into your chmsl wire.

In order to power the third brake light on a truck bed cap you will need the pacer performance 3rd brake light logic module part pp20 702 the reason you need the module is that the brake turn signal circuits and trailer lighting circuits are combined so you need to separate the brake turn signals or else the third brake light would blink when turning.

I need to wire the center overhead brake light on the topper topper already has the light and it is wired. Its what i do for a living. The truck has a signal control box or whatever mounted above the spare i assume theres a simple plug and harness that can tap into that controller and then the rest is easy.
